Femininity can be pretty, delicate, compassionate. It can also be strong, resilient and resourceful.

Feminism is wanting equality for all regardless of gender.

It’s not about being bitter towards men, it’s just about calling out when things aren’t fair.

They’re not exclusive to each other.

There is an argument that the very notions of "femininity" and "masculinity" are social constructs. I find that quite interesting myself. I mean personally I cant stand hyper masculine blokes and "girly girls" get right on my nerves to be honest. Saying that you can be "feminine" and be a feminist at the same time. I know loads of women who are. You can also be "feminine" and be a man. You can also be "masculine" and be a woman so...

No. The idea doesn't derive directly from the etymology. It's worth a Google.

Those who are in power and have privilege don't do so for good reasons, necessarily, and these need to be challenged in order to give everyone a chance to be their best selves. It's not just "down with men", it's an expansion to critiquing privilege of all kinds.

Ultimately everyone should have the chance to be who they want to be, without being limited by their innate characteristics.

That requires some challenge to authority, but isn't anti authoritarian per se.

Im not so sure about that tbh. The bourgoise hegemony will only allow its priviledge to be challenge within its own framework and on its own terms in liberal society. Any actions that are a direct challenge to its authority are either put down by sanctioned violence or by economic restrictions. To truely challenge priviledge has to involve a strong element of anti authoritarianism if its to have any validity... At least that's what some bloke in the pub said

It's certainly possible that my views are limited by my lack of anti authoritarianism. I'm certainly open to critique, although my tendency is towards education and building, rather than destruction. Work with what we've got to the extent we can.

No. My limitations are partly structural disadvantage.

My unwillingness (some subconscious) to be more anti authoritarian, I think, is because of the societal privilege I enjoy and am in part unwilling to give up. I know I'm imperfect in this regard. (But also, disadvantage or not, I'm only human and I can only do so much. I still need to live my life etc)
