"How does that work?" I don't know how the algorithm works but some posts have a label underneath them stating "! Manipulated media" I went into comments and a very popular science channel has expressed that the post has been edited to trick the viewer, and linked original clip.

"Twitter has started using "manipulated media" on some of their posts to inform people what they're watching has been tailored to seem like something that it's not. Do you think this is a good idea and should it be used more widely?" It’s well known that the media manipulate news and statistics as does the government .....it just depends on the addenda...so does it really matter if it’s tagged as such as you only have their word on that....does that mean the rest is genuine?!?!

I'd be more concerned that their algorithms might mark the wrong posts, or miss some. Then people might believe the post was true because the alert was missing.

" I think it's important to call out bullshit whichever side you support. Some people know about media bias while others don't, hopefully these labels will incentivize people to do their own research before taking a side. I'm sure blind followers will ignore it but targeting the middle ground should be as important.

I’m all honesty I think the majority will just assume that all else in that case is correct.

I think those that know the narrative is often spinned or presented with a specific bias and objective won't immediately accept most of what they're presented with at face value. They'll want to look into multiple sources then make up their own mind.
