What's made you happy today?

What's brought you happiness?

In the course of my work with vulnerable people, I was given some extra work. Because someone who needed a particular morale boost said no one does it quite like I do .

That's lovely feedback to receive, well done to you

I have felt happiness today for spending time with my kids, not having to leave them for work.

The simplest of things made me feel happy... I rustled up some lunch for us and we all sat together outside in our back garden, eating, chatting and laughing.

My kids have gone to their dad's for the weekend and in a few hours I will be blissfully happy for Mr to come home from work and I will want to look after him all evening.

I love being with my family, they make me happy..... now where's the wine because that also makes me happy x

Thank you

Hilariously, the tone I take with this person is a context appropriate version of "buck up, dickhead". But I've got a good read of her and I make her laugh. (I've never called her a dickhead!)

I've just found out that my favourite Chinese takeaway has reopened so I don't have to cook today.

I've spent some time with my mum today in her garden, at socially acceptable distances of course. It meant my girls could have a nice run around.

Altogether it's been a great day, although I have burnt a little.

I've been working today, but packed up about 2.30pm, why you may ask. All the buildings where i'm working are grade2 listed Georgian houses and surround a large communal courtyard area. All the residents have been putting up bunting, bringing out tables and chairs and then food since about 1pm for a party.

After we packed up the party started about 3pm....................Vera Lynn singing We'll meet again on a hi fi........it was great. Even though it was a party, each household had it's own table and chairs and were actually more than 2mtrs apart. we stayed and had a few beers with them. I'm shure they will all have a great afternoon and night. It was defo the happiest time i have had since lockdown began.

I started the day with a phone call from a very dear friend, I've just got back from an 8 mile walk in the countryside where I hardly saw a soul, and now I'm going to make dinner and chill on the sofa with the pooch for the rest of the evening....very smiley day for me

Flowers from a neighbour, unexpected and so kind.

Having a run in this heat and not collapsing immediately.

Messages from a loved one and friends. I don't know how I'm so lucky to have such amazing people in my life but I really am.

Finding curly girl products that don't have sweet almond oil in. My 'fro is going to blossom in the next few weeks.

Yes! I've had to read all the ingredients from a shortlist of twenty odd products and now my eyes are tired. Less nuts please manufacturers!
