Why is French kissing called French kissing or is it even called that any more and when we leave Europe will it have to be renamed?

It's a great question. Dont know why they called it French kissing as I prefer to refer to it as a good old fashioned snog. As for the future maybe call it the beatcovid kiss

French kiss is so called because at the beginning of the 20th century, in the English-speaking world, the french had acquired a reputation for more adventurous and passionate sex practices. It originated in America and Great Britain.
