Up on the moors

Torquay

It's raining hard, you are soaked to the skin, cold and lost, you stumble to your knees head bent down against the driving rain.

Your mind flashes back to when you were young. They were all there, all the gang, Jack, Henry, Mike - 'the likely lads' mum used to call you. You were inseperable, kicking a ball out on the park, searching for mushrooms in the woods. You don't see them now. Everyone's moved on, everything's changed. Everything always changes. The world is in constant flux, it's spinning away, and you've lost control. The feelings overwhelm you and you turn your face to the sky, tears streaming down your face.

Then you award the goal but warn the striker that you would book him if you thought it was deliberate.

After which you both go dogging in the car park

Yes it could be

I’d just prefer on the lonely moors than a car park

For the stories I mean
