I remembered reading somewhere that 'women love with their ears, whilst men love with their eyes'.. sounds bit stereotypical but as an offspring to that I would like to add: your words dont mean that much to me. If I'm "not in the mood" it means you haven't engaged my mind. It means I'm thinking about stuff, and probably stuff that hurts or stings or just doesn't sit right in my tummy. It ain't necessarily something from today, but something has jogged those feelings back up and I'm not comfortable.
