A town near you perhaps

We live in the countryside and absoloutely love it. We are near villages, around 45 mins to a city and can be at the coast in an hour. It is perfect for us.

Do you like where you live and why, or would you like to move somewhere else and why?

I live somewhere similar. I used to live in london. I wouldn't swap this for anything now.

I'd maybe like to be closer to the coast but I'm certainly not complaining

I live in a village 20 min from the city but only ten from the peak district lived here since birth various houses i love it.

About 15 pubs within a mile

Sometimes I live in Devon and sometimes Cornwall (in fact I moved from Cornwall to Devon at the weekend, don't worry lockdown police, I had official permission!).

Down in Cornwall I am closer to the sea, but I prefer the landscapes of Devon, I think I have the best of both worlds and feel very lucky

Where I live is spectacular imo ,,, apparently one of the most scenic places in the country according to books etc , Great country life, an hour away from main cities but obviously got towns around, shopping is more expensive ,,,, we only real downside are not many people around here on fab and have to travel quite a distance to meet , and it's known as gods waiting room here , but otherwise it's an awesome place, during this lockdown you can go walking and two minutes away you've got magnificent walks which we can obviously do as locals

We live in a village so semi rural. Have a small town 5 mins away and Newcastle about 30 mins. I love where we live but one day I would like to live walking distance to a beach. At the moment we are about 45 mins drive away x

I hate where I live. I'm in a very shite part of Manchester. It's crowded, full of idiots and there isn't anywhere within walking distance that's easy on the eyeballs. I'm hoping to get away from here in the next couple of years.

We are remote with no neighbours. We really appreciate where we live.

I love it. I'm right on the seafront, from my lounge I can see up the coast of Liverpool to Crosby and formby, then across the sea to North Wales.

It's urban enough for everything to be convenient, I have two supermarkets in walking distance as well as bars and restaurants and cafes, some great little quirky shops and trains to Liverpool every 15 minutes.

It is an older demographic, there are a lot of pensioners here, but I quite like that.

It's been a deprived area for a very long time; parts are really run-down but you can see the regeneration efforts making a real difference.

I just hope the current situation doesn't kill the leisure and hospitality businesses that this area is building on.

I absolutely hate it where I'm living. It makes me feel down and depressed and I feel I have wasted the best part of my life living here.

However I'm looking forward to moving soon and hopefully it's right what they say about life beginning at 40,

Adore my new flat. Moved just before lockdown and so glad we did.

Grade 2 listed, huge windows , loads of light and a great big shared garden for the child.

I've been sat here this morning listening to the bird song with the sunlight pouring in.

No..dont particularily like where I live. Close to amenities, family but i would like to move out of the area. Bad memories. Its very built up where I live, housing estates rammed in.

Would like more space & more green. MrD is trying to get me to move over his side of the city after my messy separation. Would love to but have kids, schools & a dick of an ex to consider.

So central for hill walks, outdoor life not far to the beach, and short train travel to the city for shopping, drinks, food and good socialising!

I’m an hour north of London - semi rural in the shire, love the area as it has forests, woods, open spaces. Excellent shopping and social activities. Helps that VA & JD’s is virtually on my doorstep too

Our son moved to York at a young age so he could build his career. He loves it and don't think he will ever move back home.

I’d quite happily move somewhere more rural but, as sad as it sounds, only if I could get good broadband (150Mbps or more).

My family are heavy internet users (work and leisure) and some of the woeful rural speeds really won’t cut it.
