Would you ladies invite a guy to your house for the first meet?

No. But then we wouldn't accommodate as we have teenage children at home.

We feel it would be safer for single ladies to meet guys at a hotel or a club rather than a guys house.

I've been surprised that I have met 3 that have. After lots of chat and photo swaps.

I've had a few house based meets and I have no idea what possesses a girl to let a strange man like me in their house, I'd never consider it the other way around.....

Surprises me too to be honest, but depends on the person I guess.

Everyone seems to be worried about the woman's safety in that situation but what about the man? He has no idea what's waiting for him!

On a previous profile I was invited to a womans house for our first meet and have to admit to being nervous and unsure about the whole situation....but when I heard the high heels walking towards the front door it made me feel far more at ease

Very true. I was probably as nervous as they were.

Apparently you're more likely to get murdered in someone else's house than your own.

Because they know the where, when and how on their house but not in yours.

Cheery thought!

I have done and have also gone to others on a first meet.

I don't do so lightly but after building up trust and ensuring we are on the same page. It's not something I've done often and I have never had any issues.

Although I've never met at a lady's house, I've had several travel up to stay with me for a couple of nights, 3 of them came from the south coast, and one stayed 4 nights, I thought she was planning on moving in

I have. It's not something I do all the time, but if we have been talking for a while and I get a good vibe from the guy, I sometimes make an exception.

I have two dogs who are very protective. One is large, one is small but has a very nasty bite.

The local snails are super friendly but I can't resist them and always blend them into my smoothie for added crunch... they don't visit too often these days

Do you like crunchy snails?

I'd never let a guy in my house. I have kids. I live in a village where everyone knows your business before you do. So for me, play meets are either clubs or hotels. Socials are always outside of the village.

No. I tell my husband off for standing on snails. We must protect them at all costs

As much as I enjoyed her company, I think that I might have started to drop some subtle hints if she had wanted to stay any longer

Definitely not, not the second or third. Huge amount of trust and getting to know someone before this ever happens, this is my kid’s territory and I wouldn’t risk that safe haven being jeopardised

Have done it both ways round, obviously alot of messages and photos prior.

Any meets at mine I always ask the lady if she wants to message her friend to let her know she's ok.

I have done both ways round in the past. Definitely wouldn’t now ended up with a very crazy stalker type guy, police involved the lot. Definitely don’t risk your home until trust has been strongly built, but even the people we trust can be dangerous. Go careful people xx

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I've been invited into someone's home several times for a first meet. Obviously occurred after frequent messaging and chatting for a while. I was always humbled by the trust they put in me to do such a thing

Nope. My home is my private space. No one gets here initially.

Once I know someone really well and trust them then I might consider it. However my house is very rarely empty so it's unlikely to be possible
