Hey folks....just thought I'd share some news with you all.

After being so excited to come home yesterday, I got back to the news that my older sister had passed away last week after contracting Clovid 19. She was a retired NHS nurse who had gone back to work to help out a few days per week in some of the nursing homes where she picked it up.

Clearly I'm devastated but I'm more worried about my dad than anything else. Hes already had to bury my brother due to suicide, his grandson (my son) due to an accident and now his only daughter. He still has a step daughter, myself and another son as well as my mum.

In the past 12 months, I've lost my son and now my sister. My head has been scrambled for a while now and I dont know how muh more I can take. My dad is in his 80's but is relatively healthy.

My counsellor has vanished since this pandemic has kicked in and I cant get ahold of her. Thank goodness for antidepressants just now and 2 weeks off work.

Look after your loved ones, give your closest and dearest a call tonight and tell them you love them and please please plead with them to follow the guidelines and to stay as safe as possible.xx

I am truly sorry about your loss. Your sister and your son both in such a short space of time.. that must have hit hard. Can you contact your counsellor and ask for zoom sessions? Or whichever organisation she is working for? Possibly call your GP and ask if there is any bereavement support in your area? Meds are all good to balance the chemicals in your brains, but they dont fix the things long term.. as I am sure you know. Just maskig the symptoms. You deserve better care. Look after yourself x

Believe it or not, this forum has helped pull me out of a dark hole before from just getting involved in some of the random chats on here and by having a laugh. I'm confident that it can happen again. So expect me to still give out some cheeky banter and jokes as it's what keeps me smiling!

I'm truly sorry to read that and you have my deepest sympathies.

Cruise have a helpline you can call if you need to speak to a counsellor. It's not as good as speaking to your normal counsellor who knows you and your background, but perhaps might offer you some support.

Apart from Cruse, you could also try contacting Mind charity infoline who do signposting to your local services. Hope this helps. I know you didn't specifically asked for it, but I'm worried that your counsellor is MIA..
