"I have virtually none anymore just moved house recently and gave all but a handful away to 2nd hand stores. " Nooooo...lol...I once did that then spent next few years buying them again. One time I decided I d have a clear out, you know, this pile stays, this pile goes. I had 500 books to sort. You ll never believe it..my pile to go after hours of sorting amounted to 5!! So put them back on shelves lol

"That 60% of my entire house is bookshelves. " It's normal to have bookshelves in the bedroom, isn't it? My mother thought this was unthinkable. I was "hey, there's lots of space for books here. I can put off the extension for a few more years".

"Our book shelves, book floor, book table, book boxes and book chairs say that we are people with a wide range of interests and taste in novels. I think it shows that we have fairly specific but broad range of interests from the non fiction section but no idea what the fiction section shows. " Love this lol...I once lived in a place alone where every little space was taken up with plants or books...a library room would be my dream..or a lockdown in a library

"You're a hoarder." my son says this about me as I have books. He keeps saying I dont need them. I beg to differ. Some of my books were my parents. All well worth reading again. I have a wide variety or books. Fictional and non fictional and my fictional are full of different things.. Anne rice.. wilber Smith..Tolkien etc and loads of not so well known . I love to read.

"I love books! my shelves have everything on them! I need more bookshelves to house everything and the collection keeps growing! we have everything from Dr seuss and children's classics to DSM-5 and Esther Perel (a favourite of mine). Sometimes no better place to loose your self than in a good book.. or challenge your beliefs and morals in others. The Kindle has it's place, in a suitcase, glovebox or when you're cooking and cant turn a page! But the smell of a book... cant be beaten!" DSM5 is that the breakdown of mental health associated with the psycopath tests..?

Love this lol...I once lived in a place alone where every little space was taken up with plants or books...a library room would be my dream..or a lockdown in a library " One of the houses I lived in during the mid '00s weirdly had two dining rooms so I put floor to ceiling shelves in the one with the best light, had a lovely comfy squishy chair and used to sit reading in there. It got more use than my lounge, and I loved it. I've moved around a lot and had to shed a lot of possessions, and most of my books went in the cull (hence my reliance on kindle now). I'm currently living somewhere that has enough space for me to hoard books again, but I don't have the heart, particularly when I don't know where I'll live next or how much space will be available. Did you know you cam stay in the Gladstone library in Hawarden?

Ooh no I didnt get where you re coming from, apart from that one place, I ve lived my life a drifter so living in a building let alone having a library was not going to happen..but my rucksack always had a book or two, and living wild I deposited water tight containers of my necessary books in various places in the woods.

"Even my teenager prefers a real book to a kindle etc. When we go on holiday we tried taking devices to the beach but spent so long worrying about sand or losing them. That now we just take space in our hand luggage for a book or 3 depending on how long we are going. Funny when I fly I prefer to watch a movie or something on Netflix. But then will read the rest of the chill time x " I ve never been able to read on a flight..for me I think its because theres too much sound and movement pollution..too much going on..if I m reading I like to zone right into that world..maybe thats why you do the same.

"That I bought the same book twice because I forgot I hadn't read the first one" Have to admit I now have a small selection of "twicers", one has quite a sentimental value as it was a book of my granddad's and the others I bought again because at the time I'd lost the originals and in all this time, sorting out, I've found them again

"That I love order and have them organised by colour. That I have a ridiculously huge to read list and my reading style is eclectic" I love organising and re-organising my books. I havd an almost infinite to read list and piles of books which I may or may not read. I sometimes buy second hand books purely because I don't think anyone else will buy it.
