What five things have made you smile this week?

North West UK

Three of those are work related and knowing that my actions and support have helped three people apply for the help that they needed.

We are also doing contact calls to all our customer base so they have been good and have found people genuinely appreciative of the contact.

I've continued my re-organisation and decluttering.

I've spoken to friends and colleagues on zoom.

I am listening to the regular birdsong and that always makes me smile.

Okaaaaaaay...I’ll start

My Granny made me a tray of macaroni cheese. We used to go for lunch once a week and I’d usually order macaroni cheese. So she brought some down for me

Baba is almost crawling, but is obsessed with walking and standing, so who knows what he’ll actually do first. But he has no fear.

Hubby licked my pussy for the first time in over a year (I wouldn’t let him as he once had a mild asthma attack while doing it and I didn’t want to be the cause of his death) and fuuuuuuck it was so good

Made a group chat, theres 13 of us and fuck, it’s been lovely so far. And the other group chats I’m in, are equally as lovely.

Baba is learning more words and it melts my heart

I was dead proud of myself for applying to the Navy.

An old and very good friend went out of their way to cheer me up yesterday.

I like winding my dad up by bashing the tories.

There is a breeding pair of blackbirds that frequent the pond in the garden.

Mooncake always makes me smile.

The baker's next to the office reopened

A colleague working from home had to come in to the office and brought their dog in for me to play with and fuss knowing it would give me a huge lift.

The cheese hamper I ordered online that arrived Friday.

My girlfriend, repeatedly throughout the week as she works hard to keep me sane.

Friends checking in on me

The house martins have moved back into the eaves of my house and I can hear Mr & Mrs chattering away as they polish up their nest as I lie in bed. Their 6th year coming back here...

Connecting with people...I miss just chatting, and so those moments at the checkout, reaching out to friends and finding them there for me, finding things in common with someone in here...happy times.

My children. After some deep sadness earlier in the week, and some late night holding & talking, they seem to be at peace again. Makes me feel so honoured to be part of their lives.

Being more organised re shopping meals than I have been for a long time. The pleasure of not having last minute panics about what the fuck we are eating and then feeling bad cos I’m a shit mum (actually a crazily stretched-thin mum)

Getting confirmation that my divorce is nearly done. That the final milestone in this process is nearly here, and I can properly move on.

"What five things have made you smile this week?"

My son smiling at me.

And seeing my wife smiling at my son.

My friends being quick with their support.

Returning here with a degree trepidation, only to discover that I don’t need to worry.

And lastly, finding my feet again with my work after a long period of struggle.

It’s so wonderful isn’t it he chats during tea time, just babbles away but if he’s enjoying the food we get ‘yum yum!’ He can say Luna, which is one of my dogs. He shouts it at her he can also say boob, then he’ll launch himself at my boobs and start pulling my top down

My eldest came round for dinner yesterday. Seeing the love and excitement between him and his brothers was lovely. They are missing him a lot.

I finished making my first pimped up bra for dancing. It turned out better than I thought.

It's been a good week at work and I've seen many amazing acts of kindness.

It's Sunday morning and I'm having a long lie in bed. All children still asleep.

I'm going to make pancakes later and not feel guilty about the calories

Really enjoyed my work this week.

Receiving school reports for our children and reading how well they are doing.

Walking through the door and seeing a chocolate cake that our daughter made.

Having Mr make me heartedly laugh every single day.

Appreciating the outstanding beauty of where we live.

My children and hubby, numerous times. It's been a good week. Minimal shouting at each other. Kids are getting on well with their schoolwork. We've had some silly moments where we've all been in hysterics.

A virtual quiz with work colleagues. Was nice to interact with them socially again.

One of our new hens has finally started laying eggs so that two fresh eggs a day now!

We found a lovely new place for a walk nearby. It was a tranquil wood and it felt good to be there.

Friends on here who make me laugh, and take my mind to naughty places

My children giving me cuddles, getting on nicely with eachother and being very helpful in general.

My mum spending ages laughing like a crazy person down the phone with me.

I started working out which has made me feel good although my body hates me haha!

Having a giggle on Zoom with my best friend and my goddaughter.

Chocolate mysteriously appearing through my front door

The weather has been nice on the odd days

The garden waste recycling bins are being reinstated

I finally found a reasonably priced anvil

What was supposed to be a one off dungeons and dragons game to kill a bit of boredom has turned into a full blown campaign, having to play via discord but it’s something I look forward to once a week.

Getting back into work a few days has made me smile as the pressures of not having any income weighed heavily for 6weeks.

I’ve been very productive at home and standing back taking the results in has made me smile.

My eldest son showed me his mine craft world and was so excited to show me he’s spent hours and hours building a fleet of star destroyers and tie fighters.

And then he went to the other end of his world where he’d built a rebel fleet of x wings and a millennium falcon and others.

My youngest son has been drawing and painting, he’s quite the little artist and his talent makes me smile widely.

And finally...

My wife has been more open about her sexual fantasies and that has lead to us having some fucking fantastic fucking which makes me smile obviously

Didsbury

Deciding last minute to join in one of the virtual events the dance studio has been putting on and chatting with some of my dance friends, I really miss them and the studio.

Sister dropping me off a care package consisting of Gin and German Sausages.

Going for a little walk in the sun, I haven't been getting out much for various reasons it hurt but was lovely as I live opposite a conservation area so lots of greenery and wildlife.

Getting my delivery from the local fishmonger which included fish pie from their restaurant mmmmmm.

My brother in law offering to turn the area outside my door in to a little private garden area. There is a communal garden round the back but it is shared between 6 properties so I haven't been using it.

Someone wrote and read me a story for goodnight. It became a very good night

Someone dropped a card on my doorstep with a wonderful and inspiring quote, wishes from common friends. The thoughtfulness of it touched me.

My kids showering me with love when I'm very self critical. I love how they sense it and build me up. And I can give myself credit for their emotional intelligence. Feels so good.

Goodies swap with my best friend. Lovely chats on the doorstep. And phone calls leaving me in happy tears.

New friends on here thank you for opening up your inbox and hearts to me ! Your trust will be cherished.
