Hahaha oh Nora..

1. I'm not easily scared.

2. I have been waiting for the next one patiently. You said you will be here whole week

Some unwanted attention is the reason.

Still to come I hope, too. And most of my highs have been culminations of weeks, months, or even years.

Graduating from therapy was a momentous day.

Some academic conferences I've been to have been dizzying highs of awe and inspiration.

I can think of some sexual experiences too.

But the best is yet to come.

There and to the left a bit

There've been a few but 8th August 1992 will always rank up there with the best of them...boarded a train to London and got off at Finsbury Park to be greeted by a gathering the like of which I never thought I'd see again...all of whom were united by a single cause - what followed was several hours of merry making and happiness (not to mention copious amounts of alcohol!!) until at around 8.45pm, everyone gathered (around 36,000 of us) stood in awe as 7 men walked onto a stage and stood there drinking in the atmosphere, which by this point was electric...all 36007 of us stood there for what seemed an age until one of those 7 men lifted a microphone to his lips and uttered the immortal words...

"Hey you, don't watch that, watch this...."

What followed was almost two hours of sheer unbridled joy...and an earthquake that registered on the Richter Scale!!

It was Madness I tell you!!

Days just don't get much better than that.

July 2and 1985 when having been the victim of some hideous bullying for 3 years straight at school I decided, when the bell rang after double geography, that instead of going to break to be spat at or verbally abused I would walk home and not go back.

Had I not done it I wouldn't be here today.

Life has had many tough turns because of the effect that the bullies had on my mental health but they never stopped my heart from beating.

When I was in my early 20's the ringleader turned up on my doorstep with a baby in her arms to beg forgiveness for what she had done. She said that since she had a child of her own she realised how horrid she had been.

I told her I was fine and not to worry about it in order to get rid of her.

I was actually in my 30's before I could talk to strangers and trust anyone because of her. Gave up what would have been a very prolific sporting career because of her. But like I say I am still here and that is worth more than anything x

"July 2and 1985 when having been the victim of some hideous bullying for 3 years straight at school I decided, when the bell rang after double geography, that instead of going to break to be spat at or verbally abused I would walk home and not go back.

Had I not done it I wouldn't be here today.

Life has had many tough turns because of the effect that the bullies had on my mental health but they never stopped my heart from beating.

That must have took a lot of strength to do that at that age. I hate bullying in any shape or form. You can definitely stick two fingers up to them now x

When I was in my early 20's the ringleader turned up on my doorstep with a baby in her arms to beg forgiveness for what she had done. She said that since she had a child of her own she realised how horrid she had been.

I told her I was fine and not to worry about it in order to get rid of her.

Sometimes surviving is a huge victory x

Wow that’s tough. Kids can be really nasty. Has always bothered me with mine being online etc. I know of 2 teenagers who have took their own life through bullying. It really is devastating.

It really is the most horrid thing. I hate to think what it would have been like back then with social media.

Such a tragic waste of life x

That would be 4 years ago today when my team drew against Spurs and won the league for you. That was one brilliant night at The Bridge. "

In the middle

Passing my driving test was probably the turning point in my life so definitely a top day.

Watching my sons get married was just the most emotional day ever to think I bought them up to be great young men with wonderful wives fills me with pride for them and a pat on the back to myself

"When was it and why?

(Not counting the birth of children)

"

Passing my Private Pilot’s Licence in 2003, despite leaving school vowing never to take another exam in my life, having scraped enough money together during my divorce, and losing my younger sister a few months earlier.

I allowed myself a momentary feeling of achievement despite circumstances.

For me it is the time period between the gynaecologist telling me the treatment had worked, after taking a punt by not giving me an hysterectomy as he should have, through to my lad being born safely and at full term 3 years later - something I thought I’d never experience

Had it been a 3pm Saturday kick off it wouldn't have been the same atmosphere. The fact it was a night game and so much to play for but not to play for that evening for us.

One of my memorable games.

The other one would be the day I moved out of home. Days, sort of, because planes and time zones and shit. Long haul flying sucks, and I was kind of terrified.

I look back, and I wasn't ready.

It's the best mistake I've ever made.
