"Hmmmmm...fishfinger sandwich!!! Forgotten about that one..... PS - do you come from a family (as i do) that HAS to mop up every dinner with a slice of bread??? Be is roast dinner, casserole, curry, whatever..??" When I was a kid living with my parents, there was always a plate of bread or(bread and butter on a Sunday) with a meal.We always used to mop up the gravy from the Sunday roast. I also remember my mam always used to pour some bacon fat from the pan over our cooked breakfast,to mop up,lovely. Wouldn't dream of doing it now though but don't think cholesterol existed in those days, lol. Ric XX | |||

"Brown bread spread with mayo no butter, corned beef, tomato and black pepper on the toms yummmmmmmm. Not my favourite but a memory of Sunday teatime bread and butter with sliced peaches and carnation milk, my nan lived by "have a slice of bread you wont go hungry" lol oh and I seem to remember her making sugar sarnies on white bread too ewwwwwwww." Yeah, sugar or syrup sarnies dunked in your tea so it got that oily slick on the top,ace lol. I used to love taking jam butties,a mug of tea and a stack of Beano and Dandy comics to bed, happy days.
