Oops I deleted my post before I saw you'd replied. I have my filters on so I don't get messages; generally it's just the fact they've even viewed me that makes me feel uncomfortable. I have tried opening my filters once or twice just because I was curious and the amount of messages from much older men made me tighten them again.

I feel very uncomfortable when young guys view my profile and message me, especially in their teens, twenties and early thirties, they are younger than my children and i would never want to meet them, they are way to young and not enough life experiences, plus i have clearly written age preferences. I use my message filters to block them now.

I don't think it's petty though, it's a preference.
