I've eaten an irresponsible amount of cheesecake over the past few days and will be continuing for the next few days too.

I have more naughty things in my kitchen than ever...

buy them to test my willpower but then I fail and surrender...

recently to a whole pack of chocolate cupped popcorn.

Not with cheesecakes but with homemade cakes,yes.

I have been making a variety of cakes and pies pretty well every day, today I finally ran out of flour.

Hopes were raised this morning in Morrisons, they had 16kg bags of flour on a pallet, sadly it was white bread flour which is unsuitable for cakes. I can get 20tonnes of flour from the mill in town but need a bloody great silo to store it in.

Ok my daughter did a great one. Cut strawberries in half and put on a tray. Boil a kettle of water and when it’s switched off put a bar of chocolate in it (wrapped in plastic). Snip a corner off and drizzle the now melted chocolate all over the strawberries. Utterly divine.
