I brush my teeth always before meets and carry mints to eat inbetween. In all honesty if both teeth and genitals aren't clean id never play x

Depends what gum you use. Wrigglies tend to contain xylotol which helps guard against plaque, plus the tacky nature of gum sticks to and removes tartar. Mints do buggar all though, just freshen your breath
