"I miss it I’ve never taken it for granted...dear god, I miss sleep" It gets easier, honestly. My daughter has bedtime anywhere from 6-8pm then will sleep till at least 5am, sometimes as late as 7am. If she’s occasionally unsettled during the night, (teething) I’ve no issues putting her in bed with us, everyone sleeps better that way and she’s comforted. Anyone who tells me I’ll spoil her, make a rod for my own back or she won’t sleep on her own again etc can kindly go fuck themselves

It’s usually not so bad - whenever he wakes I’d just pop my boob in his mouth and he’d be back to sleep within minutes. And he’s barely awake when he does wake. But he’s teething badly at the moment and is bloated and struggling to burp (he’s eight months old and we still burp him, we have infacol for him now as well) so he’s waking up for at least an hour at a time screaming the house down I just feel so sad for him, he’s in pain and I’m doing all I can

Babies won’t want to sleep with us forever anyway!

It was awful as he just would not settle and I was an absolute mess. Hubby used to have to take him out for drives in the middle of the night but as soon as they would get back he would want feeding again. It was just an endless exhausting cycle. It really is hard but you will get there. My 2nd child was a great sleeper though so don't let it put you off Hope you have a good day and manage to get some rest x

Have you tried the leg exercises on him, the cycling and pushing his legs up into his belly, I used to do that before putting mine to bed to help with trapped wind. Always hilarious literally squeezing a fart out of them.

And he gets tummy rubs, back rubs, basically everything I can do, I’m doing it he’s really having to push for farts at night, and burping takes a while. It’s hurting so much he’s screaming, so he isn’t relaxing enough to burp, so it takes a while to calm him down before he’s able to

There’s not much less fun than a baby with trapped wind that you can’t seem to relieve.

"I miss it I’ve never taken it for granted...dear god, I miss sleep" I get about four hours at the moment. From 3-7. Sometimes manage a nap during the day but not often. Insomnia gave me good training for parenthood

"I've been struggling myself for the last 2 weeks queenie. Last night and the night before were a lot better though because I put on "sleep sounds" on YouTube with my headphones in and listened to rain, thunder and lightening and slept better than I have for a while. Might be an option for you though you might not hear the baba " Oh I can sleep no bother. It’s being woken up during the night by a sore and poorly baba!
