A minutes silence is being held tomorrow 28.4.at 11am to honour Nhs staff who have lost their lives to the virus.... surely we should include everyone who has lost their life?

I'm just confused how a minute's silence can possibly make an impact unless you're in a large crowd. Works in stadiums, but as the streets are deserted and it's pretty damn quiet anyway...

Still, whatever makes people feel good I suppose...

I think it’s about personal reflection, not about impressing people.

Impress people? Not what I meant fella. Reflection can be good. We've had a lot of time for that lately.

I might have the wrong idea of a minute's silence, but isn't usually in large crowds?

Maybe it may bring comfort to some of the families to know people are thinking of them. I have to admit I haven't heard of this till now.
