Hot tub

Hi guys.

Whilst in lockdown I have been doing a lot of gardening and planning..

I have space for a hot tub, but has anyone any advice.

I can afford the rubber type ones sold in the Range and other places.

But are the rigid fibreglass worth all the extra money.

And yes of course it's for naughties lol

We don’t have one but I would get the proper one, check out Combined Shipping Company Ltd and what they do, I used to do the same with treadmills from Russia , it’s the best way for big bulky items and a fraction of the cost.

Check out your power if you need plug and play or could run higher power off a board without upgrading

How do you afford more expensive types, if the cheaper ones are out of bounds?

I'd love one but the running costs deter me. I'm not on a water meter but I'm guessing heating all that water frequently isn't too cheap

We have had the same one for 15 years it's a tiger river, buy the best you can ,look after it and they last forever, had to change the cover once, have it serviced every couple of years. If you live in a hard water area have it descaled regularly, and you cant go wrong.

The modern ones are very well insulated so don't cost a fortune to run.

So if all you can afford is a blow up tub don't bother as the electricity will cripple you. The insulation is piss poor. I've had a range of tubs and now having a 8k 32amp 160 jets tub I regret wasting my time on cheap tubs.

I would say avoid 13amp tubs whatever you do as they are plug and play and you may as well have a inflatable tub. I used to have the lay z spa hawaii hydrojet and it was really good but you are looking between £700-1k for that tub and around £2-3 minimum a day on electricity plus you can't use it when temps go below 4 degrees.

My tub is on average £1 a day and I can use it in the winter and it's available on 0% interest free credit so I paid a chunk. Paid for a outside socket ans popped the rest on finance. Best investment ever

I should have made it clear, I can buy

the cheaper ones now today in cash if I wanted
