All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

They just finished clapping here.

While I appreciate the symbolic gesture, I can't help seeing it as bit of virtue signaling, especially when politicians rush to embrace it.

True appreciation for NHS staff and carers should be shown in proper amounts of PPE equipment and better pay / working conditions.

Unpopular opinion, but it gets on my bloody nerves. It wakes my kid and the fireworks upset my dog - he's a wreck for a day after hearing it.

So I wish it would die off around here, too.

I remember when Boris and his cronies were clapping and cheering for the NHS workers after they voted in the commons against giving them a pay rise

Watching TV seeing all the staff clapping outside the hospitals I ask myself who is inside treating the patients, especially as all the hospitals claim to be under staffed.

It died here the week it was "clap for Boris". There are a few who still bother, but not many.

Our police and fire brigade still go to Arrowe Park and have sirens and lights while the staff come out and clap, but it feels a little futile leaning out the window of a high-rise block of flats!

here

It’s like that brilliant tv series... first 2 seasons - amazing, wins loads of awards. seasons 3-4 not as good, and by season 5 the writers and the network are thinking, shit we should have stopped when it was at its best.

Did it exist before the virus? It’s like saying no one supported football teams before football was invented?

I get why people do it, but I wish people showed a little bit of respect.

I live opposite a theatre nurse, she is on earlies this week, she is also in bed... But standing outside her house is a a woman and her daughter banging a fucking pan and blowing a whistle.

Please if they want to show appreciation then let the girl sleep

Louder than ever here.

One of my neighbours bought his speakers and decks out and was playing music for a good while both before and after the clap.

Really really nice and positive and makes me love where I live even more. We’ve been clapping every single week!
