Had get our 16 year old terrier pts sleep today ,wasnt unexpected ,but still hard as we are dog free for the first time in many years ,house is so quiet ,wont have another just yet not ready ....

Never wanted dogs and stopped the kids getting one for years

One of them died last year and it was like a kick to the heart

I never understood the pain of it until then

So sorry to hear this as à dog owner i can only imagine how upsetting this will be. My eldest dog is now 13 and i know he will not be here forever but i do know that he has had the best life possible and been showered in love.

It’s devastating, we lost our two boxers in the space of 7 months and I still can’t bring myself to “replace” them
