I've always resisted the switch to Eurometric dicates regarding weights & measurements. I always weigh things out in lbs & ounces and if you look at most diets in magazines they almost always say things like, "lose xxxlbs in just one week etc".

We use miles on our roads, and we're still imperial in house measurements (look at any estate agent literature and they always use feet & inches when describing room sizes, and a lot of the tools in my toolkit are based on imperial measurements (spanners, allen keys etc).

Although I do prefer decimal measurements for medicines as it's more accurate.
