Do you make an effort during lockdown with your hair and make up?

I usually do but today I have said no to make up and hair stuff leaving it to dry naturally.

In need of a good cut though.

Of course the Mr wanted to see, so I stupidly sent him a picture....

He's gone all quiet now

Oops.

Not really, no.

I never style my hair- it’s always air dried. I wear it up in a bun for work.

Makeup- I don’t even know where it is- it’s in a Ziploc bag somewhere.

I work at an airport.

I'm taking the opportunity to give my hair and skin a rest... unless I'm going outside the house of course!

Some days I make an effort & do my hair/put on make up etc. Other days I just throw on the first clothes I find and shove my hair up in a messy bun.

Of course the days I make absolutely no effort & look a mess are always the days I get a video call or someone sees me out in the garden

I don't wear makeup and my hair doesn't really need anything much doing to it so barely any change in anything for me... Just getting dressed, or not

I've stopped dyeing my hair even though I was due.

When I wash it I've been alternating between deep conditioning and experimenting with accentuating waves and curls (curly girl method).

I'm messing around with makeup, and when I contact the vulnerable people I volunteer with I dress up to describe to them, because they get a massive kick out of it. That includes a full face of makeup. I send a picture to those with internet access.

Similar to Swing. I did make up last night. Heavy lipstick etc. Playing with my hair too.

My hair needs dying but I refuse to do it myself as want to add more highlights so dont want to jeopardise the effort so far.

Painted my toe nails the other day as I miss seeing them colourful !

Oh wow that's awesome.

I do feel I need to give my hair a break from the heat of the hairdryer and straighteners.

My hair could do with a deep condition as well

Can't go wrong with a bun, I have mine in a bun for work. I worry about the damage caused by grips though as daft as that sounds

I suspect the answer lies in washing it less often, because it takes an age to dry naturally. I can't be walking around in a turban in public.

I think I'm going to give my straighteners away, I hate it.

I plan on straightening it today, just need to wash it first. I seem to have gone to the other end of the scale as I didn't even brush it until mid afternoon on Sunday.

For those of you who say would like to give your hair a break from heated styling appliances- Dyson have made a couple of styling tools that claim they use little or no heat. Very pricey- I couldn’t justify the cost as I very rarely straighten my hair and my current ghds are fine for that, but something to look into?

What I -have- ordered is an assortment of nail polishes. My nails never get to grow before getting caught in baggage belts, boarding pass printers, baggage tags, etc so now they are a nice length. I never wear nail polish so looking forward to experimenting a bit.

I keep thinking I should give myself a nice gel mani pedi. I work on the food and beverage side in a hotel so understandably I never get the chance to do a nice mani when I'm at work!

I always straighten my hair, otherwise it’s a wavy/curly mess.

Whether I put makeup depends on if I’m going out mostly, I do try and make a bit of an effort and put eyeliner and mascara on though.

Helps having straight hair that doesn’t do much anyway, although scissors will be out this week it’s getting too long

Can I just say that even though your hair and make up is mostly how it makes you feel wearing it, as a guy I tend to find women who wear less products the most attractive.

Quick hair brush doesn't do any harm though, makes it more fun messing it up again

I washed my hair this morning for the first time in 5 days, tbh though it didn't really need it. Usually I do it every other day but not going out or to work it's not getting dirty.

I usually put a bit of face on though

Yeah I hear what ya saying there, I don't necessarily wear it to attract it is about how it makes me feel inside, like I have confidence to face the world.

But says a lot I would show a guy the un enhanced me, he seemed to like it so all good
