Bar white and cream what other colours would you class as truely gender neutral?

Is yellow to female or green to male?

My best friend has just found out she is pregnant and once she is part her first trimester I plan to start buying wee bits and do like a baby basket type thing. But she won't be finding out the sex so need a hint with colours.

As I can't afford a big lump sum of money I plan to get bits every week or so.

Any practical suggestions?

Thanks

Pastels are ok...

Lemon and pale green are nice on either.

and i likes a nice very soft lilac in pastel too.

suits either

When a mate was expecting, i made a big basket up with all sorts in.

Baby talcs and wash, cotton buds and sudacreme.and all stuff like that.

Along with a teddy and baby grows, bibs etc.

All those little things a mom will need.

Bought a few things each week so the cost was spread. and wasnt to expensive really.

When I was pregant I thought the "usual" neutral colours were ok,until I had a boy and though he looked too girly in lemon or green

I would stick to the cream clours or avoid clothes and just fill the basket with goodies that she can use to pamper the baby and herself with

Someone did a big basket for me once and it was really useful so im sure your friend will really appreciate it

You can get some lovely brightly coloured things now that suit either sex. Like spots or stripes, had both mine in these (have one of each sex). Take a look in mothercare
