We used to call them hairdryers, and who would want to ride round with a target on the back of their Parka

I've got 2 cousins who used to have matching yellow Lambrettas, oh how I used to take the piss when I rocked up on ma Kawasaki

I made the taboo switch from Skinhead to Mod back in the day. Then made the gradual progression into Northern Soul then Soul.

Still a Mod at heart though, I don't think it ever leaves you.

There and to the left a bit

We are the mods, we are the mods, we are, we are, we are the mods!!

Actually had a foot in both the Two Tone/rude boy and second wave Mod camps back in the day and it still informs my dress sense and musical tastes even now to an extent - mind you back then Fred Perry's and Ben Sherman's didn't cost an arm and a leg like they do now!!

I'd have been a rocker purely for the bikes. No way I would be seen dead on a scooter! Especially one with multitudes of mirrors and a weird dress sense.

Definitely a Rocker, love the look. Been to the Ace and ridden plenty of Triumphs in my time. Also my musical tastes are more towards heavy metal as well.

But I’ve a lot of respect for the Mods as well, the ones keeping it going. Nothing better at a bike rally these days seeing all of that idiotic animosity is now firmly in the past.

My generation were on or about the hippy era. Yawneroonie. Dead boring. Silly druggy parties.

Then punk came. Felt more like the real thing.

Being into Northern Soul, you could say I would of been a Mod, but then again I love my motorbike, so I could have been a rocker.

I’d struggle picking a camp; rockers because of the bikes, but mod because of the style and music

I've seen footage of northern soul dancers. Just bobbling about on dance floor shuffling their feet and arms being fling everywhere.
