To be pedantic it is a microwave oven.

But to be fair if you use the microwave instead of a conventional oven the food will be alright.

It will ‘cook’. By whether you’ll want to eat it afterwards depends on what it is.

"What sort of oven food?

Well I went shopping and I bought a lot of things that I usually wouldn't eat. Most of which I noticed don't have any microwave instructions.

Pizzas, chips, noodle things and much more.

This. Give it a go and find out.

I was surprised to learn that bacon cooks ok in the microwave. I can sense peoples disgust already as I was the same however I'm converted.

Other stuff may not fare as well but if its heated through its not going to poison you.

You could always try the pizza, I suppose? Might be okay, then again, I'm not a great cook and I can eat anything

I reckon things like pizza and chips wouldn't be great and would end up soggy unless you had a combination microwave.

You could probably stir fry the noodle things.

Perpignan and cap

A bloke asking questions about microwaving food? Come on geezer, if it's burned on the outside and frozen in the middle it'll do. Why didn't you read the packet before you baught the damn stuff.?

Nuke it for 3 minutes on full power, that'll turn it into liquid uranium, eat it and wash it down with beer.

If I find you on a cake icing forum I'm going to (virtually) slap you.

A woman brings pizza into work and cooks it in the microwave.

Should be ok. I wouldn't bother with the chips. Can't you just boil the kettle for the noodles?

Yep. I put it in between a folded sheet of baking paper to stop it splattering the inside of the microwave. Results vary depending on the quality of the bacon and timing will vary too. Cheap bacon shrinks quite a bit but that happens however its cooked.

A minute or two per slice (can cook more than one at a time) and it will start to go crispy. Try it, or check out youtube. There are loads of videos. Can have a bacon butty done in minutes.

The little Chicago town pizzas about 7-8 in diameter? I live on those when I'm at work

I ended up mixing a few things together and ping. It went down but tasted disgusting.

I'm not sure what it was in my d*unkeness last night. The trick was I added lots of grated cheese to make it taste a bit better.

Microwave chips next time. Scrambled egg is good in the microwave though.
