Is there anything better than a hot buttery mouthful of toast?

Currently main-lining sourdough

Cake is lovely but my sweet tooth had diminished lately so hold the icing for me

Came here to say that. It's like crumpet was made for butter.

Toast made by someone else always tastes better than toast made by yourself.

Sandwich

Cheddar cheese and sundried tomato bread, straight from the slow cooker. Now that was heaven!!

It will probably be a close second toasted this morning

The Mr got me into sourdough bread and although I try to avoid carbs, it’s my downfall. A bit weird but the thought of it melting and dripping gets me a bit hot under the collar

.

Even better than toast (and something that makes working in Manchester bearable)....

CRUMPET LOAF

I wish I had stocked up on it now, anyway, if you get a chance. Buy crumpet loaf. Two slices of that perfectly toasted with good butter and a bit of cheese and some grapes is my ideal breakfast.

You can, its pretty good in all honesty.

Mix in some parmesan cheese, sun dried tomatoes, few olives if there your thing, drizzle of olive oil and leave alone for a while.

Remove, slice while warm, lashings of decent butter none of that spread crap and enjoy the the fruits of your labour.

Heavenly.

Plenty... I really dislike toast, most of the time I prefer it cold, before it's buttered, if I fancy it at all
