You can if it’s an emergency.

Newcastle upon Tyne

Could call 111 for some advice? They can also prescribe antibiotics if you have an infection

Can also get home filling kits from the pharmacy?

Under the Duvet

Feel your pain. I'd rather give birth than have bad toothache

Ok as a temporary fix ...get a mug of hot salt water. Hot as you can bear, not warm.

Swill it round your mouth and round that tooth. Warning-it will probably initially make the pain worse.

Do this for a few minutes. Pain will usually subside after around 20 mins.

Alternatively try putting sensitive toothpaste on the offending tooth.

Some people swear by clove oil bit that's never worked for me.

The hot salt water has done the job previously tho.

Good luck and try find an emergency dentist.

I had the other top wisdom tooth out by a locum emergency dentist. The anaesthetic didnt work.

Mines root/nerve exposure, I've been using numbing throat spray as temp relief.

For dental work you can phone emergency dentist but toothache abcess you can phone 111 for advice if it through a filling you will be advised to get a temp filling from boots/superdrug.

Unfortunately they not allowed to drill until they have new protocol in place .

Hope you get it sòrted.. k

Filthy Fuckeryville

Orajel and cocodamol is a start.

My son ended up at A&E the other week due to his dentist being closed and not offering help. He rang 111 and got antibiotics but they didn't work, rang 111 back and told to go to casualty. He ended up at 2 hospitals as first had no maxillo facial doctors in.

Good luck!

Oragel. 10% solution can be bought off the shelves from the likes of Tescos. 20% solution can be bought over the counter from the likes of Boots (if you can find any open).

There are a network of urgent dental care centres throughout the UK which can provide emergency treatment.

Ring 111 if out of hours or your own dentist in normal working hours.

They can and should be treating people with toothache.

I totally feel for you OP, had excruciating pain myself, to the stage where i was in tears. Was not in corona time though.

I used clove oil and was taking paracetamol every 4 hours until i could get to the dentist.

Hope you get things sorted

BRIDPORT

Drip some friars ballsom (probably spelt that wrong) on the offending tooth used to do the trick or a few drops of lignocaine.

If you can get into an emergency dentist you may find that all they are doing are extractions, I had this but it was better out than the pain I was suffering. Good luck

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52314436

Only about 2/3rds of the centres open in England compared with 98% in rest of UK

Even my regular dentist is only doing extractions, unless you self isolate for two weeks. I can't. I'm still working. Mines not too bad if I don't eat, so it's making the diet easy at least.

How you getting on OP?

I've just had an argument with my dentist. Called 3 weeks ago with my problems to be told to wait see if it gets worse.

Just called again, spoke to a different dentist- asked for their names so I can make a complaint and all of a sudden I've got some antibiotics prescribed today

The shire

I needed a root canal filling and then had to go into shielding. Hurts like mental and all I can have is antibiotics or an emergency appt to have the tooth removed. Allergic to brufen too so that's a non starter as a remedy

You should be able to get some root canal work done at a urgent dental care centre, just means they have to wear a lot of PPE!
