An Eagle.

Like to fly quite high up and when I get there will just glide about. Will come down for good food, sex and sleep.

I love the swan analogy. I have a habit of feeding them by hand. Feels ticklish, sometimes can draw blood. I still love it. So far none has broken my arm.
