So, with a lot of folk doing fundraising during this crisis, where are these 3 wankers to throw a few quid at it.. branson laying his staff off unpaid, and the other 2 arseholes who could end famine in africa between them but ask for poor folks last fiver keeping quiet.. no concerts to give something to our brave service and shop workers. Ooohhh, thatll be the governments job in their eyes, but when it comes to other countries theyre both there with the begging bowls out

I can't say I see it that way

I think I'd rather be in lock down for a few month then a life time of starvation.

The Land that time forgot (Norfolk)

I saw Bono at my local farm shop, he was filling up his wicker basket with as much strong white flour as his little Irish arms could carry, what a cunt.

When theres a crisis, why do people always have a go at bono and geldolf? Of course their millionaires, but self made and successful. Then they've raised millions for good causes. Change the record for fucks sake.

I don't see your point OP, the three people that you've named have both donated and raised more than a few pennies to many a worthy cause

One of whom is part of a group that just donated €10m to the Irish health service to buy PPE equipment.

Branson's a prick though, I'll give you that.

Ive never known them raise or even show concern for people in need in this country tho. Thats my point. Yes they are self made millionaires, but only through us normal folk but they never seem to wsnt to helo those normal folk out in time of need

Im sure millions of Africans would disagree with you.

So whats the point youre making? Charity begins at home is it?

What about everyother millionaire in the country? Does it mean they all have to help everytime theres an issue?

I find it telling that that is the second time that the country receiving the charity is somehow of relevance...

Why would you expect Irish rock stars to be giving their money to the uk?

Branson's I'm with you completely but at a loss as to why you see similarities between a billionaire who doesn't want to pay his staff and 2 musicians who've done plenty for charity

Hey that's a great idea, let's all gather together in a crowded stadium for a benefit concert, what could possibly go wrong?

I think the point was that they've not done plenty for charity at home - the usual rhetoric of those that like to slate the likes of Bob and Bono for doing things for the truly needy whilst conveniently overlooking the hedge fund managers and other mega rich people of this country who do sweet FA for anyone, home or abroad

More than a little ranty OP.

We all have choices of what we give who to and what motivates us to do so.

If you dont like the choices others make, whether wealthy or not isnt it far better to do something constructive yourself to give where you consider appropriate rather than complain at the choices others make.

Where is the ?
