Hairdressers, nails, new set of eyelashes, fillers for under my eyes, TATTOO, was supposed to have my tattoo on the 19th of March but I was on my period and could only get a new slot on the 2nd of April but it had closed by then!

I really feel for you and your daughter. Myself and my daughter have to have gluten free. She’s severely autistic so the last thing we need is her having pain and flare ups, but I have struggled to find gluten free anywhere. Managed to find seeded bread and rice cakes, but she doesn’t like them. When the panic buying started people even cleared the shelves of the gluten free pasta etc. So thoughtless, but I guess when the regular ran out they thought they had no choice. The selfish actions of others have limited our diet drastically. I’m a non driver, single mum with no care, not like I can just go shop to shop looking, and online shopping booked anything up to three weeks in some places xx

Yeah it’s terrible that people panicked and bought the limited items that people need. But guess they were clever really. I put a post in a Facebook group and was able to get some crisps for her as she can have a particular brand. Luckily we have time to cook from scratch and only use ingredients we can. Sending lots of positive vibes your way. Us Single parents will get through this tough time xx

If you use Twitter/Facebook and message the National Autistic Society, they are great for putting a shout out and companies/people stepping up and helping you. Limited diets are really bloody tough.

Never think of the NAS tbh, should do as was one of the founding members of our local branch. A shout out on f-book was good for us though as her obsession is ripping paper, friends on there helped get leaflets etc. Phoned the companies that put out free catalogues/leaflets, explained situation, they wouldn’t help, said I had to go into the stores. Talking the big outlets and supermarkets, they wouldn’t help xx

You’re more sensitive to pain when you’re on your period. Found that out when I had fillers in my lips that hurt a normal day but when I was on my period it was excruciating. I said to the lady and she said you should never have anything done on your period as you’re pain threshold is lower.

Didn’t fancy having a 6 to 7 hour tattoo then. Plus it’s uncomfortable anyway and you’re hotter, fidget more and obviously would need to be changing tampons. That is why I didn’t do it during my period.

The gym! Screw everything else. I survived in the African bush on food ration packs for weeks on end, but can't do without my training. I have a good home gym, but it's the heavy metal blaring out, the interaction with training partners and just that good feeling afterwards that I miss
