"Just got a 3D printer and for the moment it will be printing visors for the nhs xxx but after all this subsides ............ who knows what I can print lol " Good stuff, I have three running at the moment and have sent out ~250 to local care homes. 50 off are making their way to the local hospital with an anesthetist friend this evening (she's on nights) Which design are you printing? Prusa (or varient)? I'm printing the N3DPS one, as when local places all have kit I can send whatever I print into the national collab.

"My dad and grandad have been doing this. Have raised almost £2000 on go fund me, they’ve made loads for local hospitals, doctors, care homes etc. My grandad had to buy a second printer!" I’ve bought two more. Only raised £800 on the GoFundMe. Had to take a mortgage holiday but it’s worth it. Not sure if I’m allowed to link here but PLEASE all consider printing the Nationa 3D Printing Society variant - this is CE pending and a HUGE distribution network has been setup including sanitisation through existing NHS suppliers. "I’m waiting for some filament to arrive xx which one would you suggest for a novice xxxx any advice would be really helpful xxx" Go for then National 3D society one. It’s genuinely a simpler print for a novice compared to others. It requires now supports anywhere as it’s a flat band. What material did your order? Needs to be PLA (easiest to print with) or PETG. ABS is a biatch without an enclosure and leaches toxins into the skin.
