I am 31 but people often think i'm about 24 or younger, hence the name fresh faced fella. This has advantages and it's disadvantages. Any guys and gals in the same boat?

Yup. ID’d all the time. Asked to prove my age to women. People not taking me seriously because they don’t believe I have the experience to talk on a given topic.

I was ID'd last Christmas in John Lewis when buying gin (don't ask..was a last minute present!).

I think the young guy thought he had to ID *anyone* buying booze. When I told him my age and that I didn't have ID on me (I really didn't) he folded. Poor kid!

People think I'm in my early 30s which is cool. I do wonder how long that will carry on for!

When I work in my casual job in this gym/leisure centre complex there’s a lot of young lifeguards there and whenever I’ve said my age they’ve always been shocked and said they thought I was in my twenties! One 18 year old lifeguard asked if he could take me out after work, when I told him I was 36 he paused for a moment and said he doesn’t care

that made me laugh!

Mrs looks much younger than her age, people often think I'm 4 or 5 years younger than I am but from the age of 16 I passed for 21 easily and by time I was 18 most people thought I was in my mid twenties. Benjamin button lol

Always being told I look younger than I am and have been asked if I’m my oldest daughter’s sister, and one workman asked if the lady of the house was in as thought I was the daughter! Lol, on one of the meets the woman said she thought we’d got an extra as she said I looked like a teenager- don’t believe that for a minute, but I was in pvc hot pants and pleaser boots, so maybe she thought women my age don’t wear them- erm, metal head! I’m in the same boat, 26 with a baby face.

I rarely wear makeup other than lip balm & mascara these days unless on a night out, so I’m always getting ID’ed and people are surprised that I’m almost 27, I was once laughed at by a cashier for buying Malibu.

Her words were “You’re not getting away with that love” until I whipped out my license. She thought I was 17, lol!

It’s a blessing for the most part!

We're both mid 30s but look like we're in our 20s. I was ID'd buying wine not long ago under the "Challenge 25" scheme. Its usually not a bad problem to have, but can occasionally be at work if people assume you are much younger, therefore less experienced etc.
