Hey - are any other Fabbers having a film-day today? Seems traditional on a Bank Holiday.

I was looking at the Trailers From Hell YouTube channel and found the full versions of some of the films they talk about, including;

The Night Walker (1964)

Planet Of The Vampires (1965)

Ms 45 (1981)

Lair Of The White Worm (1988)

I might not watch all of these but they're definitely options.

Anyone else looking forward to chilling with their own little film festival?

Have you seen Knives Out before? I'd definitely go with Gremlins - a Gremlins/Gremlins 2 double-bill would be a fantastic afternoon

We watched a jack Nicholson film last night.

As good as it gets.

Really enjoyed it and he’s such a fantastic actor.

I saw it at the cinema with a friend and we both found it pretty boring to be honest - but another friend of mine said it was their favourite film of last year, so...

My favourite Alien film is Alien 3 - especially the cut with all the material the studio cut out put back in. I am aware this puts me in a minority

It's a typical Sunday afternoon murder mystery type film. With one extremely annoying part.

Well it's mostly the first half of the film that was cut because the studio thought it was too slow. Unfortunately this took most of the character stuff out, meaning characters do things for no reason or just suddenly disappear. Most of Paul McGann's scenes were cut so if you watch the extended version and he's in a scene, there's a good chance it's one of the ones that's been put back in.

So was Helen Hunt. Melvin is such a brilliant unlikeable character. The way he delivers the line in the therapists waiting room, 'what if this is as good at it gets?' still makes me laugh

Only one really extremely annoying part. Several annoying parts, but one that annoyed me from start to finish!
