I'd certainly have more respect for someone telling me to my face.

Reading between the lines can end up messy and jumping to wrong conclusions.

Yes and no. I would first analyse if the reasons that pushes the person to tell me those things.

I guess motive would make the difference.

For the sake of the argument, let's say that I message a woman on here, and she replied with ' After looking at your profile, I don't thing we are a good match'... That I would take it well.

Now if that woman would have said ' after reading your profile, I can definitely say that I am not interested' that would hurt because it implies that I disgusted her somehow. Yet that message was tinted with superiority so I would probably see it as that.

I haven't replied your questions and got myself confused

That might depend on a person thinking is it worth it or not. Are there times for holding our peace?

Or approaching things in another less straightforward way?
