why oh why when people u have no wish to meet and make it plain on your profile so they know this and still mail you, why do they come back with "" your loss "" in mail form when you tell them pls read the profile as they are not what we are looking for..could it be "" male rejection ""....stella..xxxx

I have never experienced any sort of nastiness from anyone that we have politely turned down

In fact most will respond with something along the lines of "well you know where to find us if you change your mind"

Or it could be that these people are either:

* not that intelligent and can‘t read

* they are too lazy to read it

* they are so arrogant that they think they don't have to read someone’s profile and are of course gods gift that it is inconceivable that anyone would turn them down.

It is the same stupid attitude that I have seen many times before. Do you know my friend who is a lesbian actually gets guys tell her that if she slept with them she would suddenly become straight and she just hasn‘t had the right man who can show her the time of her life! Jeeez with guys like that I’m not surprised she doesn’t want to sleep with men!

if someone hasn't read a profile and sends an unwanted email then perhaps they deserve to just have that email deleted and be blocked. I mean if a woman sent an email to a couple who stated they didn't want single women then she obviously hasn't read the profile and cannot expect a favourable reply...if any. However, if a woman states she is looking for single men and there is nothing in her profile to state otherwise then she should be prepared to at least take time out to reply to any mesages she receives. I haven't exactly got loads of time myself to write long emails but i make that effort to do so, and even though i realise women will get alot of emails i'm sure they could at least write 'thanks for the email but i'm not interested at this time' and copy and paste it to all those that they aren't interested in. I'm not having a go but when it comes to damned if you do and damned if you don't it goes both ways. You write a short one liner and your told it's pathetic and your not going to grab anyones attention that way - write a long email taking time and care and it's ignored...so what should we do?

Just an observation but have you considered the following....

You identify a profile that you like and it appears on the face of it you are, based on profile comparison well suited.

You craft an articulate and detailed pm and send it off.

When it's opened the recipient has one of the following reactions

1. Reads the pm and is instantly put of by either what is written or the style of the composition so bins it.

2. Opens the profile and on looking at the pictures contained within thinks "urrgh not for me" and bins it.

3. Opens the profile and reads it and is put off by something that is written in it so bins it.

The assumption you have made, and thats always a dangerous thing to do is that because you think you are suited then the pm recipient will think the same thing, which is a bit arrogant as it's seldom the case.

No reply means exactly the same thing as "thanks but no thanks" and getting miffed because you think you are entitled to a reply is not a very realistic approach in this way of life.

so i emailed and got the reply back , sorry too close by !!!!!

wtf !! i live in a large town not a tiny village .

very frustrating when you get the chance of a meet without having to drive miles x

actually i can understand that, i wont meet anyone who lives close to me and by close i mean in the same town, even tho i live in a large town too, simple because i don't want to bump into anyone on here while i'm out with my children and it has happened twice now, one of the guys just said "hi" and carried on, which was'nt to bad but i still didn'nt feel comfy seeing someone i had swung with with my children, and the other actually came upto me and asked when i wanted to meet again! that one did'nt go down so well, so i avoid local people.
