"My 26 year old son who's built like the proverbial brick s**t house shed a few tears when he came with me on Sunday to the vet when I had to have my dog put to sleep" Thats really sad, my son was upset too when we took our dog to be put down, thats understandable.

"..just watching DIY SOS and a man who's house is being re built started to cry as he was supposed to be the one to look after his family, never expected his family to look after him. I started to cry because he was crying. Most times i see a man cry i too am reduced to tears.. i dont mind a guy crying...however when they do im a lil bit unsure what to do...when a female cries i give them a hug...so am i meant to do this to a guy?? lol i always feel a bit awkward Men do you cry? "There's no shame in it..." Agree...I cry a lot, normally at other peoples situations. I cry when a sad situation touches me. I dont think its a weakness, it doesn't bother me in the least, why should it? Actually its quite a nice feeling. Does it make me an emotional wreck and unstable?, I dont think so, I am quite strong willed and one of my very few good points is that I can remain very calm in a crisis and I dont panic easy. So I dont think crying is an indication of a persons mental capacity and a measure of how they could cope. Seeing a bloke cry for me is a very emotional thing on its own...I dont like seeing men cry because it normally takes something very bad to make the average guy cry..which, for me, makes it all the worse. That said, I do tend to bury my head in the sand when it comes to bad news stories, I simple wont look at them..I hate hearing of kids being killed, or families wiped out in accidents, maybe thats a cowards approach, but I see it as protecting my feelings.

"I think it depends on the situation and the man. My ex-husband cried twice in front of me: when we turned off the life support for our son and he held him as he breathed his last, and the day I left him. Both times broke my heart but I couldn't cry with him. My dad cried at my mums funeral and I wanted to push him into the grave as he made her life a misery so his tears meant nothing to me." ive a dad like that the prick i dont cry much i did shed a tear this morning i had to take a old friend to hospital to have a tumour taken off his neck i felt like i was taking him to the gallows

"No not really. I'm not the sort to punch walls either though. I don't really suffer from emotions in general. I don't get uncontrollably happy or sad. It takes rather a lot to displace me from neutral actually. Haven't yet found a limit to my control of my emotions." are you relaeted to spock?
