She decared war on the unions and the local communities that supported them, first she stockpiled coal knowing she was going provoke the unions into a strike, (scargil was no joe gormly he was good on tactics but poor on strategy)then sat down with Murdoch and planned how to break the print unions cos Murdoch wanted complete control, and the unions refused to print some of the lies he was printing about the miners strike (particularly one accusing Scargil of being a Nazi) She even changed the way Police can manage public disputesto her own benefit as the local police challebged her legitimacy, instead she parachuted (not literaly) london bobbies who were inevitably less sympathetic than local bobbies and in many ways exacerbated the situation.

and as for the Milk she used to be called Thatcher the milk snatcher. I do have one good thing to say about her tho, she was one of the strongest campaigners against the tearing up of the railway system where we lost almost half the lines.

She's also a mealy-mouthed coward, hiding behind parliamentary privilege to repeat lies about Piers Morgan (yes, she managed to find a LIE about Piers, the colossal twat) rather than admit she was wrong, which she eventually had to.

She also called for the "shutting down" of social media during the riots, a measure not even Egypt considered! Charming human being.

And then there's Theresa May. Theresa Fucking May, master of the knee-jerk policy decision. She wants the right to snoop on everything you do on the off-chance you might some day do something bad, a single action which puts her on top of my John Wilkes-Booth list of political people who shouldn't exist.

The closure of pits increased our reliance on open cast. Her advisor on coal policy was Nicholas Ridley (Hence the 'Ridley Plan').

Guess who owns the land being opencasted all round Newcastle Airport and Cramlington? The Ridley family. Oh, and we became more dependent on oil and gas as a result of the decline of deep mining - and who did Denis thatcher work for? Shell.

And to cap it all another of the Ridleys was chairman of Northern Rock when it went bust.

Spite had nothing to do with it. Money did.

Tony Benn did not give up his inheritance - he remained a very wealthy man on the basis of the money he inherited - he merely gave up the title. that's how he could afford such an expensive but very lovely house....
