Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

All this talk of qualifications in other threads reminded me that it's Adult Learning Week. Not qualification but the what's the best lesson you have ever learnt?

I think mine would be to never trust a man who says trust me.

I did really enjoy a week long art class a couple of years ago too.

Happy learning.

engage your brain before putting your mouth in motion - I usually bite my lip but sometimes you just have to say something

Best lesson I learned was to believe in myself.

Also to think before I speak.

All good ones so far.

My primary school head, a very long time ago, used to start assembly with good, better, best. Never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best. But he also taught me that you learn more from the failures and adversity than when everything goes your own way so taking a calculated risk is worth the fear.

"When you hit rock bottome there is only one way to go and thats back up"

as JK Rowling famously quoted "Rock Bottom was the solid foundation on which i rebuilt the rest of my life "

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

All things pass.
