I like mine slightly toasted from the toaster not burned but so it get some colour on ir so it is crispy when you bite from it and then put on philadelphia on it

Irwins big bread and my toaster is tiny so I have to toast once then rotate the slices and toast again. It turns out extra crunchy and is lethal with soft boiled eggs

Multiseed, golden brown, cooled enough so the butter doesn't make it bleurgh and moist but also it's not cold. Proper butter, lightly salted. With either lemon curd or damson jam or dippy eggs that have a perfectly runny yolk.
