Advise needed on circumcision

Any advice would help a lot.

I managed to tear my banjo string that connects my foreskin to my shaft. Doctors say it wont heal back and ill unfortunately 100% need to get it snipped.

Are there any men that had a circumcision by choice and can compare before and after. I literlly have no choice now. Im worried about my bell end being exposed to rubbing all the live long day. I see my foreskin shielding that and am worried to lose it.

Any advice??

Leicestershire

I was circumcised as a child (it was what they did by default back then).

Admittedly I have no idea of what it's like to have one, but it certainly doesn't get irritated by everyday clothing.

Surely that you are more worried about the healing process and the docs advice?

I’m sure that you’d take the docs advice?

I asked for circumcision few years back, as my foreskin goes right back I was told no. It was more of a personal choice but the nhs wouldn’t go it. Maybe something I’ll do privately

All the docs were women. It was bad enough having to explain how it happened. Rough sex. And then show them. I was going Too hard i guess.

And then they all said to cut it off but as sexist as this may come across (sorry) i would have prefered if a male doctor who has been through it had told me it was worth doing rather than someone who can never experience the after effects.

I read once that a circumcised penis is more hygienic

True but i think it alsi depends on personal hygiene. I was never dirty.

My problem already is it taked me a long time to cum. Sometimes an hr of sex so if i lose sensation even more maybe sex will take even longer. Or worse ill feel nothing.

There is a loss of sensitivity its unavoidable just makes it harder to cum which can be a good thing

Unless you already struggle or take a long time to cum like the OP the additional loss of sensitivity may make that worse.

My mate snapped his banjo and was able to get it fixed he had to seriously push for that as circumcision is the quick and easy fix so they will tend to suggest that first.

Good luck OP

S snapped his banjo string as an 18yo (car sex, bad idea) but circumcision was never mentioned. It was just left to heal as it was. Nothing special done or offered. It had a habit of splitting more sometimes if we had rough sex or a lot of sex, but nowadays it doesn't affect him at all. Well, he's not mentioned it for years anyway! He still has his foreskin and zero problems with anything. Did they say why circumcision was needed?

If you have what is called phymosis, then the foreskin can be stretched.

There are a couple of medical devices on the market to help.

Phimosis can be treated with steroid cream application and manual stretching by the individual. Our son avoided circumcision by doing this.

It's very common with teenagers and about 5% of adult men (uncircumcised) suffer from it.

This.

Snapping your banjo string is more common than you think. Stings like a motherfucker for a while but generally heals with no issues.

As physiologically your foreskin isn't reliant on your banjo to function I'm confused as to why a circumcision has been suggested?

Mine did once. Healed fine.

Others have said the same.

Unless you've been slicing onions Naked and slipped or ya led your zip up too fast whilst going commando I'm struggling to see how it could have been injured so badly that your entire foreskin needs lopping off?

It will depend on the severity of the phymosis.

Mine eventually stretched far enough that I no longer have an issue. But some aren't so fortunate.

But this isn't about phymosis. It's about a snapped banjo string apparently needing a circumcision as a cure.

It's like suggesting amputation for a cut finger.

Its almost like a 3d cut. It didnt heal 3 dimensionally. So the string is not strong enough now. Its right on the banjo string. Right in the middle. And felt like a knife went inside my penis if i can get it fixed i will ask for that now. The first response by 2 female doctors was to cut it all off to avoid any future problem any future pain. But i 100% didnt want to get that done and felt its a big deal. No small thing.

Its part of my identidy. I feel im very lucky with what i was given and dont want to risk ruining it.

Ive just been told its 100% necesary. I have been referred to the hospital now i will try get a second opinion from a male doctor.

Many thanks to all!

Not necessarily. S did have a few niggles after rough or very frequent sex for a few years after the initial injury, but it stopped after a little while and really didn't affect our sex lives at all. It didn't need any treatment other than resting it.

I had this Op 8 weeks ago.

After an unfortunate accident 11 months ago, my GP tried everything to heal my torn foreskin including varying strengths of Steroid creams to stretch the skin tissue.

But, finally, he had to admit defeat, stating that choice was the only way to resolve matters.

The female consultant I was referred to agreed he was correct.

I was off work for a week to recover from the immediate effects of the surgery and got the all clear 4 weeks later.

Part of the masses of advice said that full sensitivity 'recovery time' varies from guy to guy.

But, it's important to heed the advice supplied, which was plentiful.

Good Luck.

I slept with a guy a few times that had been circumcised about a year prior for the same reason. He said the healing process was pretty grim but once it was all healed he was really happy with it. The tear had caused him some discomfort during sex so I think he was just glad to not have that anymore and to not have the fear of tearing it any more. He said he had no loss of sensitivity or anything like that. The only real change was he started using lube to wank .

Yeh only if you dont clean all the time its more hygenic. Im not circumcised but i clean under my foreskin regular, if i was circumcised i could just jump in the bath/shower and it would pretty much clean itself

This happened to me.

Mine healed but was too tight.

My hard on looked like a figure of 8 and it was painful to pull the foreskin back.

I believe i had a partial circumcision.

Initially my uncovered helmet was more sensitive but this wore off.

Get it done... Its much more comfortable

I've recently had to have a circumcision as well (phimosis was my issue).

I too was wondering about how it would feel being exposed all day, especially as, with phimosis, it really only came out when washing! lol

Anyway, about a week of being very sensitive but it all starts to become quite normal. 6 weeks of nae nookie with the missus (or anyone else) mind you.. Again though, with phimosis, I was keen to get going and see how much more comfortable sex was - was like a boy with a new toy he wasn't allowed to play with.

6 months later and it's all good. Though I did nearly accidentally headbutt her when she unexpectedly grabbed my exposed willy after a shower, still a little protective of it!

Seriously though, yeah, you do lose a bit of sensitivity as it's exposed all day. But it's still all good.
