Heres some more advice:

-sky TV? cancel it

-drive a car? SORN it

-Broadband? Cancel it.

-phone creditors; they will help.

If its really that bad after just a few weeks, do something.

Thats all well and good but what about things like council tax? Water rates, energy bills, rent, food, the list goes on.

As for cancelling things, some will entered into 12-18 month contracts and unable to cancel without a fee.

Some people wont be seeimg that 80% of income till june.

unless you are homeless, no one will be left without income.

If you have to wait, spend wisely.

as for every day bills, its literally advertised daily, posted on all their websites, help is available.

People just need to stop thinking and start doing.

Yes your lifestyle will change for a while, but if you cant adjust fast the tide will be more difficult to fight.

Hey OP none of us can truly understand your position..having to move out of home etc and not go back..yes we hear of all these benefits that sound amazing but there's the waiting in line and why oh why does everything have to be done on bloody Internet. .what happened to human contact..social distancing obviously. Man I ve been homeless in past so my heart goes out to you. Stay strong, dig deep. Are there any food banks. .aids stations..because technically you are homeless. Would it be worth talking to hotel owner, though you may already have done that cos you re a smart fella, to see if there's some kind of arrangement you can come to..makes my blood boil that everything is Internet. .there was a time you could walk into a local office and talk to someone. Any bakeries, grocers etc that have produce to dispose of at end of day..I know bloody regulations say it has to be thrown but ffs these are strange times. When did you last eat a proper full meal? Is the hotel still doing food? Look I know I'm a guy though some would say otherwise but hugs mate..stay strong..talk to the bank..see if there's any rulings to help people get money without incurring interest etc..go to your local church..talk..often they know who or how to contact the right people as they deal with this kind of thing more than most. Fk I better stop now. If you need a chat pm me. Take care man

Yeah that would be about right..people bailed so many banks out years ago and what did we get in return..0 per cent interest rates..it's a crazy world..oh and no offence meant here..just a Lil angry that the supermarkets are bumping their prices up, the Vatican has closed down offering words instead of finances or food..world wide and still money protects money...so sad.

Not everyone qualifies for Universal Credit.

It's a long drawn out procedure to get a bank loan apparently.

The 80% self employment doesn't come in until June. That's a long time to live on zero income yet still have things like rent to pay and food to buy.

OP

Unless you or those you normally live with are ill, do can still live with them.

If you are technically homeless, contact your local authority now and claim Universal Credit if you haven't already.

I would also suggest contacting supermarkets directly, many are offering direct temporary contracts. If you drive then the pizza chains and other places might want delivery drivers.

Feel free to mesaage me, if you need advice around housing... it's my speciality.

I sympathise with you actually, I've been caught in a similar situation myself and am having to do what I can to cope both emotionally and financially. There's been plenty of good advice posted thus far, so I'll save my 2pence worth, but as far as support goes, this thread is showing you that there are people concerned for your situation and wellbeing, some you may not even know. And as ironically as it may read, it takes a negative situation such as yours to show actually, there are some really warm genuine people frequenting these forums.

I hope it gets better for you, and always keep your chin up pal

Take care man "
even the church is shut and agree internet sucks where jobs are concerned, hotel stopped doing restaurant food two weeks ago and breakfast a week ago, so hot food has been a problem for a week now although I've found a fish and chip shop open in paignton a few miles away so may go there, the time thing is the main problem really i have been in isolation for two weeks tomorrow and for me thats enough, thanks for your words appreciated

"I sympathise with you actually, I've been caught in a similar situation myself and am having to do what I can to cope both emotionally and financially.

I hope it gets better for you, and always keep your chin up pal"

my chins up and i agree lovely people here, thankyou

"OP

Unless you or those you normally live with are ill, do can still live with them.

If you are technically homeless, contact your local authority now and claim Universal Credit if you haven't already.

I would also suggest contacting supermarkets directly, many are offering direct temporary contracts. If you drive then the pizza chains and other places might want delivery drivers.

Feel free to mesaage me, if you need advice around housing... it's my speciality. "

thankyou I'm trying to get work its just getting past the internet, you put in urgent delivery driver jobs, you register your cv which obviously is inappropriate i don't normally work as a delivery driver but the Internet takes you no matter how many different ways you word it, to anything but urgent delivery driver jobs, i even tried the BBC website which had links to tescos and asda urgent delivery driver jobs but nothing all i could find is a job where you need a van which i don't have lol thought about hiring one but i don't have sufficient resources for that I've been here 5 weeks remember staying in hotels

O o O oo

Can you not go home if you have been in isolation for two weeks? As you are not ill you wouldn't be passing anything on to your relatives?

they haven't said it but they are worried and its more about them not wanting to take the risk, for many i think its the fear of the unknown. China it seems has come through it and it also seems businesses are having money pumped into them to rejuvenate and companies in China are buying up business going for cheaper prices caused by the problems that they initially caused now theres mercenary for you, a problem orinating in that country but ultimately directly benefitting them. On a lighter note at least the sun is shining
