We in europe also have to accept that the western dominance of the worlds economy is a thing of the past. Europe is weaker, American dominance is slowly waning withthe Chinese about to overtake them for GDP.And India cathing up fast. meanwhile our strong trade links to our old colonyies are weakening, and china is investing billions in areas such as africa to gain a foothold on the vast exploitable resources there and a growing sense of economic independance in some countriesLatin American Countrys too are burgeoning with wealth almost without exeption Brazil has overtaken us on the world richest scale(possibly Venezuala but they have been spending some of thier 150 year of oil supply on rebuilding from grass roots level)SE asian countries are also slowly gravitating more towards Chinese Indian and Japanese trade and away from the west. So it doesnt matter whether you believe in austerity or social investment, and which party you support, to think we will ever get back to where we were is living in cloud cookoo land and its about time all parties admitted that.

Considering Cameron didn't sign up to the new EU treaty in December, and Osbourne has categorically said Britian will NOT supply new funds to any future EU bailout package, anything decided in Brussels today shouldn't cost us a penny.

Actually the greece won't cost the uk a penny extra... However in theory if Greece back out of commitments then it may mean the uk won't have to give the extra money to the IMF
