Hi there,

I’m really interested in trying a fetish club. But to be honest I’m a bit apprehensive of what to expect and also there is a 80 percent chance I’d be going on my own (is it common for people to go on their own to fetish clubs?). I’m really just looking for advice on what I can expect and also where the best place is to get fetish wear.

There isn't a huge amount of play at TG. Mainly just showcasing pretty people and outfits. And dancing. I did find more play at the Brighton event. Both is mainly couples only though. That being said I love TG for the people, everyone is friendly and chats, in the chill out rooms, not the dance rooms because you can't actually hear yourself think!

I don’t mind there being less play, I’m more interested in the atmospheric and visual elements of the scene, learning about me, if I’m “kinky” and if so what I’m attracted to and why? If that makes sense? More self exploration than solely sexual gratification

I would say tg is best when you go with someone in the scene there is typically an unofficial play area that appears at most of the parties where singles and girls who are into group play go. The later you stay the more public play tends to happen

I know we may be a bit far from you but we (Members Club Clacton) are launching a new Fetish Club Night on the 15th September. We are a hotel too so you could stay over the night

It is going to be a play event but also plenty of places to chill and chat to people too..

Was at TG lastnite... our first time... we fucked for hours and in the end couldn’t get back into the couples room as the que was too long.... definitely a lot more play than what we’d expected!

I have the best time. Exactly what I expected and even better thanks to the amazing venue and the wonderful people.

My first time doing anything like the couples room, but an awesome guy from here certainly showed me the ropes.

I’m not a massive fan of TG, it’s got its pros and cons. But I went to a supposed kink night at Le boudoir which you hosted and you got people playing sex versions of kids games (think it was twister?) and had cheesey music on.

Unless you’ve upped your game since, I’m not sure you’re qualified to judge.

Klub Verboten is a probably the best ticketed kink event I’ve been to.

its a long time since we went to TG but i agree with the witherspoon comment its more about who has spent the most on an outfit. We were at one and jack dee the hot comedian at the time was trying to interview people, we were asked but declined not wanting our lifestyle exposed on tv.

When it came on tv he was interviewing another couple and we were in the back ground lol

Agreed, the music was terrible but that was the owners playing their own nonsense. The reason we did the games was to do something silly, fun, different, to loosen the mood. Something you don't ever see at kink events as generally, everyone takes themselves so very seriously.

If you prefer events where people are only accepted for their looks, you crack on dear. I prefer catering to a fun, friendly crowd who socialise and play hard.

Which I've now got at Pan People. Happy days

Is not the answer there being something for everyone. Personally I don't believe in the beauty dividend that is given to looks. However the reality is (and there are similar 'Love Island' cliques on Fab) it is there, and throw in people of a certain look like to meet with people with similar looks there will always be subgroups. Provided everyone knows what is going on (as with all the other groups with preferences) does it matter? Having the moral ground is not going to change things, and provided there are suitable alternatives, is it worth the thought.

Personally I am not a fan of kink nights at swingers clubs. The only place that got it almost right was the reincarnated HDZ at Kestrels. That was almost, because it still had gendered pricing.

O&I, Twisted and Dark Cargo are all afternoon events and good kink events and held on a Sunday afternoon.

But my understanding is that the kink scene is full of arguments about how events should be run.
