I have just received a verification from some guy, who not only have I never met, but never even spoken to him before, was just a bit surprised and had to tell someone!

Oh, the old "if i verify this person, they might be grateful enough to meet me" technique.

I've known the odd female (not many thankfully) try this with guys going "well, if you verify me then I'll meet you", in the past.

Safe option: ignore the verification, don't display it. If you chose to report it/the person as an option.

Lol I just blocked him, so veri not there anyways, and as you said would never dispay veri eother, is that why he did it??

And then my next message from someone completely different this morning was ...

I got a veri from a heathrow social, the problem is.....

I have never been to a Heathrow social.

Sent an email to the couple concerned who told me I need to show it so they could remember...... But I couldn't do it. It felt wrong (even though I was a very nice verification). Still to this day have no idea who they are....
