Winks v messages

so I have seen profiles that say winks are lazy and that an in-depth message is required.

So I tried it and guess what ? No reply, no even a "no thanks"

So my question is. which is lazier, a wink or not bothering to reply to messages ?

Not replying to messages is not lazy. It's actually part of the sites FAQ's. Is it lazy to not bother reading them yet expect replies?

I totally ignore winks.Pointless.
