is there too much choice for ladies on the site ?

There are so many guys on here sometimes it's impossible to stand out from the crowd.

This is because, in my opinion, the majority of people only know vanilla relationships and look for standard dating one on one situations, especially women. Hence the choice for men on dating sites.

Whereas for sites like fab, that aren't part of the mainstream lifestyle there are far less women who know about this, as a lot more men seek out "fun" than women do.

If you just ignore all rhe guys with poor profiles , the mix becomes much more balanced. Ladies also have difficulties finding the right types of guys that match their preferences , so the issue is not unique to men .

That's partly my point, is it the sheer number of guys that don't play nicely that cause ladies and couples to just ignore all massages ?

I'm just wondering as sometimes I match a profile, I'm polite in the message but it just gets deleted

I think you have to trust women to know what they want .... you may think you match a profile, but then when they read yourself after getting a message, they may think otherwise. I know I get a fair few messages from men who think they match mine, but have ignored the statement that says I don't meet men ....

Yes, I think the sheer volume makes it more difficult to sort through mail and make contact with the right people.

Whenever I'm visiting another part of the UK I find it much easier to filter and chat to guys and there just isn't anywhere near the same volume as in London.

Like Netflix! Too much choice means you spend hours looking, and skip stuff whereas if a film was on the TV you'd definitely watch it! Am I simplifying? Probably ??

The earlier comment about dating sites ratio I dont fully agree with. I known one magazine did an experiment where they made profiles with varying levels of attractivness for both men and women. A man who would be widely regarded as very attractive, tall muscular build received far less attenion than an average looking girl.

The most attractive girls were receiving hundreds of messages each day.

If you happen to be an average guy,who is shorter than 6ft the intetrest was practically nill.

I Think the same goes on here as well Although the effect is no doubt amplified due to physical attraction being even more central.
