Singles bars!

West Wales and Cardiff

Hi all

I know this is more of vanilla, non-swinging related enquiry, but I thought people might be able to help. Hope you don't mind!

I'm in London on the weekend of the 22-24 Jan and I have the Saturday night to myself.

Im not sure where this idea came from, but I've got into my daft head that it'd be an interesting experience to go to a singles bar, preferably in Central London.

I'm not really expecting much more than a nice conversation, though obviously a meeting a sophisticated lady with a penchant for forty-something Welshmen would be fantastic.

Is anyone aware of any? Do they even still exist in these Tinder-driven times? There aren't really ones in Cardiff - we just have bars where terrifyingly brazen Valleys girls will pounce on unsuspecting blokes and hump them to death on the spot.

I have googled, but the most of the information is about clubs where it's easy to pull.

Obviously I might well explore more swinging-related options too.

Any information would be gratefully received!

Look up red straw events. Turn up its free, ask for a red straw, and enjoy.

Thanks Chris - that sounds interesting!

Well they can be found in most of the bars in the centre of Cardiff in the weekend, particularly those at the borrowed of Queen St.

Kiwis is well known for it, as is Flares and scores of others. I imagine Revolution and lots on Greyfriars Rd e.g. Tiger Tiger would be the same.

Please note - I'm not saying these are the better, cooler places to go. Far from it.

Also, please know that I'm a huge fan of the Valleys. My family is from there and there are stacks of incredibly interesting, friendly people there. It's beautiful too. They sure know how to party though!

Thanks, I also love the valleys, I have family in Rhmyney and Tredegar, but there all past their clubbing days.

Lol.

Have fun in London. Shoreditch is quite good for bars and clubs also. Plus there are a few pound in the glass strip clubs. Charging normal pub prices, Oh ok normal London pub prices.

That should have said "bottom of Queen St".

Yeah, I used to go to Shoreditch a bit and will be there in the day.

I dunno, I just fancy that old fashioned thing of being in a bar and seeing some you like. Internet dating is ok, but it can be a bit clinical. Sure nothing will come of it, but that's not really the point somehow.

I know those areas, though my family are from the Rhondda. The other thing with the Valleys is that, while the towns may well struggle economically, it's actually pretty beautiful there.
