Hi all.

I am looking for a good place to stay in london at the start of October. I am not made of money (being a northener) looking to pay around 40 per night. As i am away i am looking to play and would need some where that people can come and go without being noticed. I would like to be in or around st pancres station. But not essencial due to tube.

Any help would be great.

Sorry about the spellings.

LONDON (se)

You will be hard pushed finding a place in that part of London for lesa than 100. Even out of central london you are looking at around 80 to 100. London isn't a cheap place and 75 is the cheapest ive come across

Agreed, you would be lucky to find a hostel for that. Even Travelodge is minimum of £80.

If you look towards earls court , you may find something within your budget. Apart from deals and late discounts from the hotel groups, I doubt you will find anywhere decent. I did rent a B and B in padding tons. Some years back for 40.00. Maybe look there .

Most of the old dives are no more. You would be hard pushed to find a doorway around the cross for £40

Ibis is cheaper and nicer.

The one in greenwich was where I paid 75 and victoria dock 72. But that was during the week.

Thank you all so much for your help. I have had offers to stay with people and hotels sent direct to me. Thank you all. I have now booked train tickets and am returning the same day so no need to stay over

True but Sutton is only a short hop on the train

I always use late rooms you should look on that. I agree with the rest though £40 a night is pushing it. But you can get apartment hotel rooms for 60/65 if your lucky. The other option is to look at airport hotels out of the summer season they can be quite cheap and top end. Good luck.

No such thing as a cheap airport hotel, rarely drop below £75 more often £85-£120. Sometimes cheaper at weekends if you book early
