"Hello, we are staying in the County Hall area from the 7th. We have a huge list of what we want to do but struggling to fit it all in! What would you say are the things not to be missed? Sarah x" Planning is the key. Many things in London are close together. Someone has already mentioned Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, which is easily combinable with Kmightsbridge *Harrods) and various museums. You need to limit your travelling to maximise time, so plot all your must does on a map and see what is close to each other. Also don;t fall in to the trap of relying on the tube. It was only after I moved to London and got to really know it well that I realised how much time I had wasted. Buses are second to none (use the public transport option on Google maps rather than TFL) and it can often be as quick to walk to your destination as head off on the opposite direction to the nearest tube station. | |||

"Thank you all for your help, advice and information! I have come up with a schedule and olotted things in a logical mattwr e.g Harrods and the Science museum on the same day due to locality. We are wanting to visit Hyde Park as well as many places. Whilst not on a time limit as such, this will allow us to plan appropriately. We went up the Burj Kalifa in Dubai and hoping to go up the Shard, seeing as we are in London. Has anyone been up there before and was it any good? Xx" The Shard is good, but if you want to go to a real piece of London history then go to the top of St Pauls Cathedral, the best way to go is to walk along Bankside, cross the new bridge over the Thames and you can literally see St Pauls in front of you.
